Moving to a new place starts with getting a quote from a moving company. This first step helps you understand the cost and plan your budget. You’ll then get an Order of Service, which details everything from the moving dates to what services you’re getting. If you opt-in for packing services, a packing team will arrive a few days before your move to pack your items, or just select items, for you. On moving day, your packed items will be loaded into the moving truck, and you’ll receive a Bill of Lading. This is an important paper that lists what’s being moved, the moving plan, and the costs. You can check off each item as it is unloaded at your new place. Once everything is unloaded in the correct room, you will review the items and confirm the completion of the move with the team leader.
